F254 is the department's 1988 ford F350
super duty 4x4 brush truck. It features a Hale 9hp 200 gpm pump
with a 300 gal tank skid unit mounted on a custom work body, with
extra deep compartments. It is red with a 4" white stripe.
It normally responds 1st due on brush fires, and also responds on
all working structure fires for use in water relay from a pond,
or dry hydrant. It carries the following eqpt:
- 6 water back packs
- 12 rakes
- 2 shovels
- 1 axe
- Booster reel
- 400' forestry line
- 200' 1 1/2 pre-connect
- (2) 10' 2 1/2" hard suction hose
- 25' rope
- Barrel strainers
