2005 - Tunstall Vol. Fire & Rescue receives a grant from FEMA for a new fire truck, in the amount of $232,750.

With this grant, we purchased a 2006 E-One / Freightliner, 1250 / 1800, Pumper / Tanker. It is second due on all structure fires. This truck replaced our old tanker, F257, as our primary tanker. This unit carries 850 feet of 2 1/2" supply line, 200' of 2 1/2" attack line, and 200' of 1 3/4" attack line. It is powered by a Mercedes MBE Diesel engine. It features a Federal Signal, NFPA compliant halogen/strobe warning system, with an arrowstick.
