F251 is a 1998 E-One 1250 gpm pumper on a Freightliner, FL80
chassis. It is first due on all structure
fires. This truck replaced the old tanker we had that was
involved in a tragic accident. It has a bronze plaque on it
dedicating it to the memory of the firefighter lost in this
trucks predecessor. This engine carries 1000 gallons of water,
1200 feet of 2 1/2" hose, 450' of 3" hose and 3 200'
pre-connected 1 1/2" lines. It is powered by a 300 hp
Cummins Turbo Diesel and has an Allison automatic transmission.
It features a Federal Signal & Whelen, NFPA compliant
halogen/strobe warning system. This truck carries the following:
- Honda 6500 watt gas generator
- 2 Kwikraze 750w quartz halogen scene lights
- 2 portable halogen lights w/2 - 100' extension cord reels & junction boxes
- 2 sets of turnout gear
- 6 SCBA & 9 spare air bottles
- Firefighting eqpt: Booster reel, (2) 10' 6" hard suction hose, (1) 10' 2 1/2" hard suction hose, 50' 2 1/2" supply line, 25' quick fill line, chimney nozzle, low level strainer, barrel strainers, 2 fire extinguishers, extension, roof, & attic ladders, pick & flat head axes, 4' & 10' pike poles, positive pressure ventilation fan
